Horticultural Innovation Australia has launched the Plant Life Balance campaign, which is designed to get Australians excited about styling their homes with plants by promoting the health and wellbeing benefits they bring.

The cornerstone of the campaign is the Plant Life Balance app, a ‘virtual greening’ app that makes it easy to find the look that’s best for your space. The app was developed in response to a new study commissioned by Hort Innovation and delivered by RMIT University and the University of Melbourne, which has worked out the exact number of plants we need to improve our health and wellbeing within our homes.

Powered by the study, the app lets users drag and drop plants over a photo of their space to see how adding more plants can improve their health, wellness and air quality. It also features seven leafy ‘looks’ to inspire people to get more green in their scenes.

The app is now available for free from the App Store and Google Play. For more information, visit http://plantlifebalance.com.au/.
